Unlike annual fundraising, gifts to the Legacy Fund are invested forever.
Each year, a portion of the investment earnings is distributed as grants that address our community's greatest needs while the principal remains intact—allowing your gift to continue making a difference year after year.

FROM VISION TO MOMENTUM
More than twenty-five years ago, community leader Jack TerHar challenged Broomfield to build something that would outlive all of us.
In 2014, the Legacy Fund reached its first milestone of $1 million.
In January 2026, thanks to hundreds of generous donors, the Fund surpassed $2 million.
Now our community has an opportunity to take the next bold step.

DOUBLE YOUR LEGACY: THE 2030 MATCH CHALLENGE
To inspire community participation, Jack and Penny TerHar have committed to matching gifts to the Legacy Fund.
Every gift made to the Legacy Fund is matched Dollar for Dollar up to $50,000 each year through December 31, 2030.
That means:
Give $250→ $500 invested
Give $1,000 → $2,000 invested
Give $10,000→ $20,000 invested
Every dollar works twice as hard.
