Building Broomfield's Future Starts Today
Beginning in 2026, each year we will host a TerHar Family Match Challenge, where every dollar you give to the Legacy Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000.
BCF is excited to share that the 2026 Challenge was achieved by September 2026. We'll be announcing the 2027 Challenge in the spring. Look for announcements in our future communications.

A PERMANENT INVESTMENT IN BROOMFIELD
The Legacy Fund was created to ensure future generations of Broomfield residents continue to have a strong, sustainable charitable resource supporting local nonprofits.
Unlike annual fundraising, gifts to the Legacy Fund are invested with a long-term perspective to grow the Fund and increase its charitable impact over time.
Each year, the Foundation's Board carefully balances grantmaking with preserving and growing the Fund, allowing it to address our community's greatest needs today while building capacity to support future generations.

FROM VISION TO MOMENTUM
More than twenty-five years ago, the TerHar family challenged Broomfield to build something that would outlive all of us.
In 2014, the Legacy Fund reached its first milestone of $1 million. In January 2026, thanks to hundreds of generous donors, the Fund surpassed $2 million.
Now our community has an opportunity to take the next bold step.

Each year during a specified timeframe, a gift made to the Legacy Fund is matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000.
