Youth Advisory Council Highlights Their Cause at Sept 19th Broomfield Days
Look for the Youth Advisory Council at Midway Park Saturday, September 19th. These service-minded youth leaders will share what community-focused social cause they are raising money for. The Council's goal is to raise $2500 for a spring 2027 grant that supports important nonprofit work right here in Broomfield.

Community Impact Film Highlights Power of Collaboration
A new Community Impact Film showcases how Broomfield nonprofits work together to help neighbors overcome challenges and build brighter futures. Through one individual's journey, the film demonstrates the life-changing impact of collaboration, compassion, and community support.
Celebrating 25 Years of Heart, Impact, and Community
The 25th and final Heart of Broomfield brought together generations of community leaders, donors, volunteers, nonprofit partners, and residents to celebrate a quarter century of philanthropy and impact. The evening honored the TerHar family's enduring legacy while reflecting on the relationships and generosity that continue to strengthen Broomfield.
Youth Advisory Council Awards $2,000 Grant
The Foundation's Youth Advisory Council recently awarded a $2,000 grant to the Five Star Education Foundation to help address food insecurity among local students and families. The grant reflects months of learning, fundraising, and community engagement by twelve Broomfield-area high school students.
One family. One vision. A lasting legacy.
One of the most meaningful moments of Heart of Broomfield’s May 28th evening was recognizing Jack Jr. and Penny TerHar and the TerHar family with the Enduring Heart Lifetime Achievement Award. More than 25 years ago, Jack's $100,000 challenge gift inspired our community to establish the Legacy Fund Endowment with a vision of reaching $1 million. While the journey took longer than expected, that vision became reality—and today the Legacy Fund has grown to more than $2 million.
Their story reminds us how a single act of philanthropy can inspire generations of community impact. We invite you to watch the special film that recounts the TerHar’s impact.
Youth Awardees – Where are They Now?
The Heart of Broomfield Youth Award has recognized outstanding young leaders over the years. Today, many of those recipients continue to serve the community in meaningful ways.
