Broomfield Humanitarian Fund
The Humanitarian Fund is designed to provide financial resources to those individuals and families displaced from their country of origin due to military conflict, natural disaster, persecution, or other qualified reasons, who have settled in Broomfield
In support of our resettling Refugees, Immigrants & Evacuees, Broomfield Resettlement Task Force has initiated the Humanitarian Fund for families who have been evacuated or displaced, vetted, and are clients of resettlement agencies in Colorado.
About the Broomfield Humanitarian Fund:
BCF recognizes that due to significant global conflicts, natural disasters, and extreme unrest, there has been an increase in the displacement of individuals from their home of origin to Broomfield. These families have connections to Broomfield residents either as family members or they served alongside our military members who live in Broomfield and need to be close to their family, co-sponsors, and/or cultural mentors.
Further, with the recent military actions and conflicts, there is an expectation that more individuals will be seeking resettlement in Broomfield in the coming months and years. These individuals and their families are often in the position of having to “start over” as they have lost their homes, savings, and way of life. They initially lack proper housing, food, employment, healthcare, and access to transportation, as well as, language barriers when arriving in Broomfield. In response to this demonstrated need for assistance in our community, BCF has created a new Humanitarian Fund to accept and distribute charitable contributions to support this growing need. This fund has been created to help those displaced with their basic needs and support them in securing educational opportunities, finding employment, and connecting with their religious communities and others from their home of origin. There is currently a high need for this type of support in Broomfield and an expectation that these needs will continue into the foreseeable future. This fund will aid current displaced residents and future displaced individuals who resettle in Broomfield. BCF will continue to work to ensure that granted funds will complement, not duplicate, the work of federal, state, and local government agencies and other private funding sources available. BCF’s efforts seek to promote the overall health of this community and encourage self-sustainability for displaced individuals.
