The Broomfield Community Foundation currently awards scholarships to qualified applicants from the Broomfield area.

Christopher Reagan Memorial Scholarship
This is in memory of Chris Reagan who was a Legacy High School senior, and 4-year starter on Legacy's soccer team, but passed away in a car accident in the fall of 2008. This scholarship was designed around Chris's outstanding leadership, willingness to be different from others, his love and passion for the game of soccer and his love of life, enjoying every minute. It is a one time $1000 scholarship per recipient.

George DiCiero Scholarship
This scholarship was established to honor Mr. DiCiero's long and dedicated service as City Manager of Broomfield and his admiration for academic excellence of the University of Colorado, his alma mater, and other Colorado universities. The scholarship is given to someone who is pursuing a course of study that will prepare him/her for a public service position. This is a $5000/year for 4 year scholarship as long as the student maintains a 3.0 grade point.

Jean and Bill Markel Medical Scholarship
With money given from an IRA rollover from Dr. & Mrs. Markel, the Foundation board established this scholarship in their honor. It is a $1000 scholarship to be given to someone studying in one of the following categories: Post graduate training for a medical student studying pediatrics or family practice, Post graduate training for a student studying to be a Physicians Assistant or a 3rd or 4th year Nursing student that is focusing on Clinical Nursing. Outside of school, the student must have a Broomfield residence address.

Jimmy Griffin Memorial Scholarship
This is in memory of Jimmy Griffin, who was a Legacy High School junior, and member of the football team, but passed away in a car accident in the fall of 2003. The scholarship was designed around Jimmy's compassion for others, his ability for laughter and his selflessness. It is his legacy for which this scholarship was created. This is a one time $1000 scholarship per recipient.

Kim Wilkerson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Kim Wilkerson, a Broomfield High School math teacher that passed away in 1999. It was set up as a donor advised fund and is awarded annually to a BHS student who has demonstrated desire and persistence in learning math, at any level, throughout their high school years. This is a one time $1000 scholarship per recipient.
