Healthy Kids are Happy Kids!

The following program is offered by a Foundation grantee.

Where can you go to share a family walk, engage in fun family activities while your kids learn about summer safety, nutrition, exercise and a healthy environment? Join in the Dance4Kids’ Health, listen to live music with The Tunisia Band, and you have an enjoyable morning for the entire family at the 2011 Children’s Wellness Adventure.

A “Legacy” Of Giving

The Broomfield Community Foundation announced a renewed effort to reach $1,000,000 in the Foundation’s Legacy Fund by the end of 2011.  This fund is the endowment of the Foundation which will be used for granting, both to increase granting capacity and to be a source when donations are down.  It is meant to be a constant source of funding to help the Foundation respond to emergency needs as well as plan for the future and sustain the good work done by the Foundation to help Broomfield.

Third Annual Community Blue Jeans Day

The Broomfield Community Foundation is partnering with area businesses/schools and other employers for a city-wide “Blue Jeans Day” on Thursday, March 17, 2011. The Foundation is seeking your support in a show of community spirit by sponsoring a Blue Jeans Day in your own workplace or business.

Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications

The Broomfield Community Foundation is accepting grant applications in the areas of civic projects, human services, arts and humanities, seniors and education.  Grants are awarded to nonprofits that help Broomfield residents.

Requests for general overhead funds, capital campaigns, grants to individuals, trip and event sponsorships, grants that would influence legislation or elections and grants for sectarian religious purposes will not be considered.

Broomfield Community Foundation Awards Grants

The Broomfield Community Foundation recently awarded $14,000.00 to thirteen non-profits that help people in Broomfield.   Funding for these grants came from several funds held by the Foundation.  The following are from the general Partners Fund, the Rotary Morning Crossing Club Donor Advised Fund and the Sid and Joyce Levy Donor Advised Fund:
