Broomfield, CO (April 5, 2016) – The Broomfield Community Foundation took a strategic step forward this week as it launched a completely revitalized organizational brand, which includes a new logo mark, tagline, vision and mission statement.
The brand was formally unveiled at the Heart of Broomfield Awards celebration on April 4th and comes after nearly a half-year of community input and extensive deliberation by BCF staff, volunteers and board members.
The principal objective for the new brand is to underscore and reinforce the organization’s commitment to Broomfield, strengthen awareness among newer parts of the community and to position the Foundation for even greater impact for years to come.
“As Broomfield continues to grow and evolve as a community, we felt it was important to do some evolving of our own,” said Karen Smith, executive director of Broomfield Community Foundation. “Through research we learned that although we have an excellent reputation, there are newer pockets of our community who may not know us, and even those who know us don’t really understand all that we do.”
Since 1993 Broomfield Community Foundation has been Broomfield’s leading partner, resource and voice for philanthropy, working with donors, nonprofits, community leaders and partners to improve the quality of life in Broomfield County today and into the future. Best known for their grantmaking efforts to area nonprofits, since its inception the organization has helped over 1000 donors have philanthropic impact in the community through charitable giving, they have nurtured and stewarded a $1.5 million community endowment to ensure funding into the future, and they have invested more than $2.1 million back into Broomfield through the form of grants to area nonprofits.
“This branding project was undertaken by us to provide greater clarity about our role in Broomfield and the impact we want to have on its future. At the end of the day, we’re committed to engaging and working with the community to create greater, positive impact together,” says Bruce Erley, chairman of the branding committee and president-elect of the Board for Broomfield Community Foundation. “No matter what part of Broomfield you live in, we all share a common commitment to our community’s quality of life. Our new logo and tagline more accurately reflect our commitment to serve as a community connector and catalyst for greater impact today and into the future.”
To reflect this new focus, the organization’s new vibrantly-colored logo highlights the word ‘unity’ within the organization’s name, using a series of connected, overlapping and amplified circles to reinforce the new organizational tagline: One Community. Many Hearts. Unlimited Impact. “Our new brand identity reinforces our core brand promise to ‘amplify the power of many to create greater impact for all’ and also serves as an invitation to the broader community to join us in creating greater impact together,” said Erley.
The organization also approved a refined and strengthened vision and mission statement to support its effort moving forward:
- New Vision: We envision a strong, vibrant Broomfield where all parts of our community and every resident thrives.
- New Mission: To inspire, connect, impact and strengthen Broomfield through the power of philanthropy.
The foundation’s identity study and brand strategy was managed by Sector Brands with design and graphic development completed by Up & Up Creative. Denver Film contributed toward the creation of a new brand video.
